The journalist, presenter and influencer Anina Pommerenke will be attending the BGL Expert Forum again this year. We were able to interview her in advance about the upcoming event.

“Something exciting, new and interesting for everyone.”

BGL: “Ms. Pommerenke, you will once again be moderating the GaLaBau Expert Forum at the trade fair this year. What can visitors expect from the discussions and presentations, and which topics do you think are particularly exciting and forward-looking for the industry?”

Anina Pommerenke: “I am very pleased that we will be able to cover a wide range of topics at the GaLaBau Expert Forum again this year. It's like a “colorful bag” - there's something exciting, new and interesting for everyone. From the latest trends to the hottest debates.

I think the great demand at the last trade fair showed that the industry is particularly interested in forward-looking topics such as green roofs and facades and sustainable solutions in the industry in general.

We can be really proud of the fact that we have once again succeeded in attracting relevant experts on the respective specialist topics to the forum. Of course, we are also looking beyond the horizon and addressing important topics such as the retention of skilled workers. It's definitely worth taking a look at the program - because we have a surprising variety of topics and experts in store!

BGL: You already moderated the GaLaBau Expert Forum last year and have also been involved in other successful projects in the industry. What moments or experiences have inspired you the most and what makes GaLaBau so special for you personally?

Anina Pommerenke: I have been welcomed with open arms by everyone from the very beginning and appreciate the many friendly encounters and contacts that I have had and made in recent years in the course of working with the GaLaBau industry. The trade fair in Nuremberg is the perfect place to exchange ideas and find new inspiration!

I have completely rediscovered my love of gardens - being able to design a dream garden is a real luxury!

BGL: The GaLaBau trade fair is known for its innovative strength and the presentation of new trends. Are there any specific highlights or innovations that you are particularly looking forward to this year and that you would recommend to our followers?

Anina Pommerenke: In my role as a journalist, I am particularly interested in aspects and trends that affect my daily work, including climate change. To give you an example, I am therefore very interested in the latest research findings on green facades and the effects on the microclimate in cities, which we will be presenting and discussing in our expert forum.

I am also naturally curious to see which companies will win the GaLaBau Innovation Medal with the best ideas of the year. The jury will spend a whole day visiting more than 20 stands beforehand to see for themselves how innovative the participants are. Of course, the battle for the title of landscape gardening champion is also a great highlight. There is always a sensational atmosphere at the awards ceremony - as a northern light, I naturally hope that we will bring the title to the north this year!
