As in previous years, the German Federal Association of Horticulture, Landscaping and Sports Facilities (BGL) awarded the GaLaBau Innovation Medal to important technical innovations at the 25th Leading International Trade Fair for the Design, Construction and Maintenance of Urban Green and Open Spaces as well as Sports Grounds, Golf Courses and Playgrounds.

With this medal, the BGL aims to recognize and promote the efforts of manufacturers to develop new and progressive solutions to technical problems in products or processes for the construction and maintenance of landscape gardening facilities. In this year's competition, particular attention was paid to sustainable concepts in line with climate change.
