The Swiss start-up emost is headquartered in Dietikon, northwest of Zurich. The company’s employees agree: Diesel generators for mobile power generation are outdated. Their innovative alternative is the emost Butler – it provides mobile power that is green, quiet, and self-sufficient. Sales Manager Michael Schösler explains what this means.

Electricity is needed on many construction sites, including for gardening and landscaping projects. It might be needed to power floor-mounted appliances like wet tile cutters. Or it could be required for charging battery-powered devices like rammers, electric shovels, motor saws, or hedge trimmers. emost has the right solutions for such challenges.

“The emost Butler comes in three different sizes. We call our mobile power units Butler because they work quietly and reliably in the background,” says Michael Schösler. “They are available with different capacities and therefore landscape gardeners, but also other construction professionals and event operators, can easily find the right unit for them.” He adds: “We aim to provide customised, reliable, and cost-efficient power solutions that exactly meet our customers’ needs.”

When asked about the advantages of the emost products, Michael Schösler’s list is long: “Our power units are quieter than 52 decibels – which is comparable to the volume of rain – and are therefore ideal for use in urban areas. You can even use them at nighttime.” He adds: “More often than not, when installing electricity at a construction site, an electrician must be consulted or even set up the system on-site. For our emost Butlers, you do not need any special permits or approvals, they are user-friendly and can easily be transported on a standard trailer.”

Michael Schösler immensely enjoys working for the company that was founded in autumn 2022. “We receive a lot of positive feedback from construction experts. We are selling our power units in ten different countries – and we want to keep expanding.” When asked about his career, the 36-year-old says: “I come from Thuringia and grew up in Gera. I trained to be a ship operation engineer with the German navy and went on to study industrial engineering at the technical university of Jena. After that, I worked in the fields of logistics, civil engineering, and construction machinery trade. And in 2023, I joined the emost team.”

Michael Schösler is already looking forward to the GaLaBau in Nuremberg: “I am excited to show our innovative power units to the landscape gardeners.”

emost is one of the exhibitors at the joint stand of the International StartUp Area. This area is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and can be found in Hall 3C. NürnbergMesse offers companies in the International StartUp Area special conditions for participating in GaLaBau, the leading International Trade Fair for Urban Green and Open Spaces (www.galabau-messe.com/en). The fair takes place from 11 – 14 September 2024.
