Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks presents a Unimog implement carrier that meets the requirements of the EU vehicle safety legislation (EU Regulation 2019/2144 General Safety Regulation II, or GSR for short), which came into force in July 2024. This enhances driver assistance and increases safety for other road users. As part of the new GSR, features such as Sideguard Assist, Frontguard Assist, a traffic sign assistant, a reversing camera, and a tire pressure loss warning system are installed as standard.
In addition to new, intelligent safety assistance systems, visitors can also experience the new UNI-TOUCH® control system. In the future, almost all attachments available for the Unimog can be controlled via the new operating system, which replaces the device-specific control panels, making operation more ergonomic and intuitive.
For spring and summer, the Unimog U 430 is equipped at the front attachment area with a Mulag boom equipped with a cutting tool FSG 2000. Of course, a watering arm, mowing device, or other equipment for summer use can also be attached.
With the onset of the cold season, the Unimog can be converted for use with a plow and spreader. The Yeti W27 spreader shown here, from Bucher Municipal, is optimally designed for the FS-30 spreading method with a dry material capacity of 2.7 m³ and a brine capacity of 1,280 liters.
