The first innovation medal

 

As in previous years, important technical innovations will be honored at the GaLaBau trade fair with the GaLaBau Innovation Medal of the Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau e. V. (BGL).

The GaLaBau Innovation Medal was awarded for the first time at GaLaBau in 1986. One of these medals went to SEMBDNER Maschinenbau GmbH for its VR 60 vertical cutter and to the Aebi single-grass mower from the Aebi Schmidt Group. The innovation medal has contributed to the success of the companies.

How has the VR 60 vertical cutter developed since its launch at the GaLaBau trade fair in 1986 and how is it currently performing? "The product is still being manufactured and is still being used successfully, but under the new name of scarifier instead of vertical cutter," says Managing Director Peter Schwarzmann.

The product is still very much in demand. The high quality of the product is well known on the market, and older models are still in use due to their durability and reliability. Further ideas are already being considered for the future.

  

Aebi Schmidt Group – Aebi single-grass mower

 

The Aebi single-grass mower won an innovation medal in 1986. Aebi machines have been continuously developed and modernized since their presentation at the first GaLaBau in 1986. Today, Aebi is part of the globally active Aebi Schmidt Group and specializes in the development and construction of vehicles for agriculture and municipal services.

However, one thing has remained the same since 1986: then as now, sales partner Kalinke Maschinen can also be found at the GaLaBau trade fair – a partnership that has led to many years of success.
