The company SALEE – Technology is based in Vomp, a town of 5,500 inhabitants in Tyrol, Austria. Hansjörg Oberhollenzer founded the company in 2023, together with his son David Oberhollenzer and his long-time business partner Christian Feistmantl. From the start, they pursued a very clear mission: Developing a suitable alternative to salt spreading for winter service companies.

Hansjörg Oberhollenzer can look back on a very interesting career. The today 63-year-old grew up in Tyrol and after finishing school, he completed an apprenticeship as a scientific glassblower and glass designer. He then worked as a freelance designer before changing to the glass industry / medical sector, where he worked in the field. He also has many years of experience in the areas of financial services and insurances.

Hansjörg Oberhollenzer is a very active entrepreneur. “I enjoy working with my son. He owns a company in the infrastructural facility sector. And Christian Feistmantel has been my business partner and friend for many years. His company produces specialist cleaning machines.”

His son also works in winter services and quickly realized that traditional salt spreading devices are neither efficient nor sustainable. Plus, at that time, there were no suitable devices for effectively spreading brine. To the contrary: The traditionally used gritting materials were extremely harmful for the environment and strained resources. “We did our best to find something suitable – to no avail. So the three of us decided to develop and launch a suitable product.”

The innovative result of their endeavour: the SOLEMASTER 3000, a mobile attachment that can be used with any vehicle because it can be easily attached to the trailer hitch. Power is supplied via the socket on the trailer hitch and the system is controlled via radio. The device is equipped with an intelligent pump and a stainless-steel nozzle bar with several high-performance spray nozzles for applying the brine. Several different variants of the SOLEMASTER 3000 are available, reaching a spray width of up to six metres (19.5 ft).

Hansjörg Oberhollenzer points out another benefit of this product: “The device has two more use cases,” he says. “In summer, it can be used for the irrigation of green areas or for binding dust. Plus, our customers can use their devices for cleaning work using either the nozzle bar or the optionally attachable spray and telescopic lances.”

SALEE – Technology is one of the exhibitors at the joint stand of the International StartUp Area. This area is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and can be found in Hall 3C. NürnbergMesse offers companies in the International StartUp Area special conditions for participating in GaLaBau, the leading International Trade Fair for Urban Green and Open Spaces (www.galabau-messe.com/en). The fair takes place from 11 – 14 September 2024.
